Tommy Pollina Landscape Co. Inc. is making major progress on a full inground pool removal and backyard transformation project in the Village of Deerfield, Illinois. What began as a complete concrete pool demolition is now well underway, with the pool shell broken up, the surrounding concrete deck removed, and all underground plumbing and pool systems fully extracted.
Debris is being hauled off-site as we prepare the property for proper restoration and regrading. This multi-phase landscape renovation is designed to convert a former pool area into a functional, fully re-engineered backyard space built for long-term use and structural stability.
Phase 1 – Pool Removal and Site Preparation:
• Complete demolition and removal of the inground concrete pool
• Removal of the entire concrete pool deck
• Extraction of all underground pool plumbing and mechanical systems
• Final debris haul-off and site clean-up
• Proper backfilling of the excavated cavity
• Rough grading of the yard for winter stabilization
• Return in spring for fine grading and seeding
Phase 2 – Backyard Reconstruction (In Progress):
• Installation of a Unilock retaining / rock wall along the west fence line
• Full-property yard regrading for proper drainage and elevation control
• New sod installation across the entire backyard
• Concrete foundation installation for a shed in the northeast corner
