Most outdoor living projects fail because drainage is ignored from the beginning.

This City of Evanston project by Tommy Pollina Landscape Co. Inc started as an unusable backyard with major drainage and grading issues. Before installing the Unilock Beacon Hill XL patio, artificial turf, fencing, and lighting, we engineered a complete drainage system using underground 4-inch PVC piping and integrated NDS components to properly control water flow throughout the property.

The project also included over 800 square feet of turf, a custom western red cedar fence installed on steel posts, integrated AMP® landscape lighting, and full design renderings completed before construction began.

Because when drainage is engineered correctly first, everything above it performs better, lasts longer, and works the way it was intended to.

This Northbrook backyard was holding water and tracking mud inside the home. We rebuilt the system from the ground up with a French drain, proper stone base, and dedicated downspout extensions to control water the right way.
