Village of Winnetka – From Old Deck to Outdoor Showpiece
This project started with an aging deck, patio, and grill island that needed a complete reset. The before pictures show what we had to work with — worn out materials and an outdated layout.
Here’s what Tommy Pollina Landscape Co. Inc did:
- Removed the old deck, patio, and grill island
- Installed 1,000 sq. ft. of Unilock Bristol Valley pavers in Fossil
- Added a Unilock Holland Premier border in Charcoal for contrast
- Built new steps from the back door using Unilock Brussels Dimensional in Limestone with Unilock Ledgestone Coping in Grey
- Constructed a brand-new grill build-out with Unilock Brussels Dimensional in Limestone, topped with granite
- Kept and reinstalled the existing lamp post to tie it all together
We also added waterfall steps, integrated landings, and finished with polymeric sand for a clean, lasting installation.
The result? A completely transformed backyard where the old deck and grill area once stood — now a modern, durable, and functional outdoor living space designed for years of use.
This is the difference between patchwork fixes and a complete landscape solution.
