Landscape Design and Installation - Landscaping Service

Landscape Design and Installation

The design of your yard is the first step and only one component of achieving a beautiful landscape design for your home. The next step is landscape installation. Call Tommy Pollina Landscape Company at (847) 698-6868 to ensure your landscape construction will be done professionally and quickly. Your garden, trees, bushes, evergreens, and lawn take precise planning and expertise to plant, and so does the installation of the hardscape elements for your landscape construction. Hardscape elements refer to your brick or stone patio, brick paver walkway, and retaining walls, among others which need to be installed correctly to make sure they will last for many years. Our company is proud to have achieved the designation as an authorized Contractor with Unilock. This means we exceed industry standards during the hardscape installation process and stand behind our finished product for five years.

Tommy Pollina Landscape employs fully insured landscape installation teams who will ensure that the appropriate species of trees, flowers, bushes, evergreens, and lawns are chosen for your particular yard. The type of soil, grading, irrigation, and amount of sun or shade in your yard are just some of the factors that must be considered when completing your landscape construction. If you are working under budget constraints, Tommy Pollina Landscape will be happy to develop a phased landscape installation plan. For example, this season you decide to only install the sod, flowers, and trees for your backyard landscape, and next season you install the bushes and evergreens to complete your landscape design.

The team removed old plant material, redefined bed lines, improved soil with mushroom compost, added strategic landscape fabric, and finished everything with triple-ground mulch for moisture retention and polish. The front yard now features an evergreen structure with hydrangeas, spirea, coneflower, Russian sage, ornamental grasses, and hostas, while the backyard highlights a Japanese Maple surrounded by layered shade plantings. Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) about Landscape Installations, Plantings

How long does landscape installation take?

The duration of landscape installation varies depending on the size and complexity of the project. Simple installations may take a few days to complete, while larger projects with extensive hardscape and planting components could take several weeks or even months.

Do I need irrigation for my landscape?

In many cases, irrigation is essential, especially for maintaining healthy plants during dry periods. An irrigation system can be customized to meet the specific needs of your landscape, ensuring proper watering while conserving water and reducing runoff.

What is landscape installation?

Landscape installation involves the process of transforming outdoor spaces by adding various elements such as plants, trees, shrubs, flowers, hardscape features (like patios, walkways, and retaining walls), irrigation systems, and lighting.

Why should I invest in landscape installation?

Landscape installation can enhance the beauty, functionality, and value of your property. It provides aesthetic appeal, creates usable outdoor living spaces, improves property drainage, reduces erosion, and contributes to environmental conservation.

How do I plan for landscape installation?

Start by assessing your outdoor space and determining your needs, preferences, and budget. Consider factors such as site conditions, sun exposure, soil type, and desired maintenance level. It’s helpful to work with a professional landscape designer or contractor to develop a comprehensive plan.

What types of plants are suitable for my landscape?

The choice of plants depends on various factors, including climate, soil conditions, sun exposure, and desired aesthetic. Native plants are often recommended for their adaptability and low maintenance requirements. Consider a mix of trees, shrubs, perennials, and annuals to create visual interest and provide habitat for wildlife.
