The project began with complete demolition of the pool shell, removal of the concrete deck, and extraction of all underground plumbing and mechanical systems, followed by debris haul-off, proper backfilling, and rough grading to stabilize the yard for winter, with fine grading and seeding scheduled for spring. Phase two includes installation of a Unilock retaining wall along the west fence line, full-property regrading for improved drainage and elevation control, new sod across the backyard, and a concrete foundation for a shed in the northeast corner. Park Ridge Garden Bed Transformation Project
We recently wrapped up a stunning landscape transformation in Park Ridge — turning an overgrown, high-maintenance garden bed into a sleek, low-maintenance focal point.
The problem: The old bed required constant weeding, trimming, and watering — too much work, not enough reward.
The solution: A clean, natural river rock installation.
Drainage Landscaping Project in Lake Forest
To improve drainage in the southeast area of the backyard, 17 yards of soil will be brought in to fill low spots and fine-graded to direct water toward two oak trees. A swale will be installed in the middle of the low area, pitched from right to left to drain between the trees. To enhance water collection, an 82-foot French drain system will be installed, with one section running through the swale and another along the east side of the yard, starting 10 feet south of the fence and connecting to the first drain. The project will conclude with final grading to ensure proper drainage, leaving the area ready for seeding.
