Our Leadership
Daniel Katz
President
Daniel graduated from Michigan State University’s Eli Broad College of Business (B.S., Logistics & Supply Chain Management, 2006), where he was active in the Michigan State Supply Chain Association. Daniel built and ran a 48-state, asset-based trucking company after earlier success in third-party logistics—experience that sharpened his sales, operations, and strategy. Today, Daniel serves as President of Tommy Pollina Landscape Co. and sits on the board of Unified Logistics Operating Group, pairing field-first judgment with data-driven decisions to deliver strong results.
Joe Pollina
Founder & Director of Operations
Joe learned landscaping the old-school way: at his father’s side on Chicago’s Northwest Side, where he picked up the fundamentals of planting, stonework, and doing the job right the first time. In 1982 he put his name on a truck and built Tommy Pollina Landscape into a trusted design-build and maintenance firm. Joe’s hands-on expertise runs deep—plant selection and care, curb-appeal lighting, and especially precision drainage solutions that protect foundations and hardscapes. He’s a familiar voice to Chicago homeowners as a regular guest with Lou Manfredini on WGN Radio and other local platforms, where he shares practical advice rooted in decades in the field. Today, Joe leads day-to-day operations as Director of Operations, mentoring crews, setting standards on-site, and making sure every project meets the level he learned from his dad.
